December 1st. Wow!! We have officially lived in Syracuse for 6 months. It feels like it has went so fast. I hope this is how the next 3 years feels. This has probably been the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life. We are surving though! I would be ungrateful if I didn't say how thankful I am for the many things we have been blessed with. Thanksgiving is a great time to stop and think about how blessed we really are. Kevin has a great job, we live in a nice neighborhood where we feel safe, and I have two beautiful girls. I also have a great family who has been so good to us and so supportive. Thanks to all of you who have helped us along the way!!
This year for Thanksgiving, we went to grandma Della's house. She has been very sick for quite some time now but the last few months she has sort of found her second wind. Growing up, we always knew we would be at grandma Dellas house for the holidays. The last four years she hasn't felt good enough. I'm sure all of us shared that same enjoyment by being there like the good ol' days. Grandma Della has played such an important part in my life and I'm so happy my children have been able to have her in theirs.
After dinner the shoppers headed out. We now have connections in the big city so we came to stay at my house. We were headed out by 3:45am to hit the big sales. We had a great time. I look so forward to this day all year round. Everybody stayed until Saturday night. I have to tell you, we were had!! The sad part is that I still have more shopping to do.

Amy it sounds like a great Holiday. It sounds like you have a special grandma like me. Its so sad to see them go down hill when they have been such a big part of your life.
I can't believe you went shopping at 3:45, you are funny.
Amy dare you ask where I was that morning? At home in bed since no one asked me to go with them. I could not even get my own mother to go with me. Maybe I have stinky breath or even worse BO, and no one wants to be around me. for the love- (ha, ha, ha, ha)
